This Lhakhang is a small temple located in the center of the Phuentsholing town which represents the heaven of Guru Rimpoche. On the ground level there are statues of Guru and his eight manifestations. On the second floor there is eight Bodhisattavas and statues of Avalokiteshwara and Zhubdrung Ngawang Namgyal while on the top floor the main statue is of Buddha Amitabha.
There’s not much to see here, but the surrounding garden is pleasant and the pilgrims spinning prayer wheels offer some fine people-watching on a balmy evening. A visit inside the Lhakhang is absolutely recommended as it has a collection of statues and the walls echo with paintings and mural of Guru Padmasambhava and other great saints of Bhutan.
